Theme 1: Parliament
The United Care: Kiwi Kids Leadership Programme is a 5-week initiative designed to empower children aged 7–12 with leadership, communication, and civic awareness skills. Through a blend of self-learning modules, interactive online sessions, and group practice, kids explore the foundations of Parliament, leadership values, and public speaking.
The programme culminates in a Speech Day, where participants confidently present their ideas in a supportive setting—building the belief that anything is possible. Led by Programme Chair Junaid Qureshi and a passionate team, this initiative prepares young minds for the future, including the skills needed in an AI-driven world.
After Wellington, the programme will expand across New Zealand. Organisations interested in running the programme locally will receive support, content, and training from United Care.
Spots are limited! If you’re a parent or guardian of a child aged 7–12 in Wellington, register now to be part of this exciting journey.

As a leader in both community and professional settings, I’ve seen firsthand how confidence can transform lives. This programme is my humble contribution to helping children across Aotearoa believe in themselves, speak with purpose, and grow into the leaders our future needs. With the support of our dedicated team, I’m proud to lead this initiative and help shape a generation that knows anything is possible.

This programme is more than an event — it’s a reflection of what happens when a community comes together with purpose. Our team and volunteers have united to create a space where children can grow, lead, and be heard.
We believe leadership starts young, and through this initiative, we’re helping shape confident voices and thoughtful minds. It’s a proud moment for all of us — building the future, together.
Abdul Saboor
Board Chair - United Care Trust
This journey is close to my heart. It is about creating spaces where children feel encouraged, supported, and inspired. I truly believe that when we come together—parents, mentors, communities—we unlock something powerful.
Every conversation, every shared moment, every bit of encouragement helps shape a child’s confidence and voice. Let’s stay connected, collaborate openly, and make this a journey we all grow through—together.
